He was predeceased by: his parents, James Sywassink and Ruth Froehner Sywassink; and his brother-in-law Edward Philgreen. He is survived by: his wife Ellie Sywassink of Muscatine; his children, Debbie Moore (Rusty) of Highlands, Diane Nichols (Kevin) of Rosenburg, Dan Sywassink (Lori) of Eliza and Doug Sywassink of Muscatine; his grandchildren, Austin Moore (Chelsea), Chris Moore (Jessica), Madison Nichols, Kyle Nichols, Matthew Sywassink (Aubrey), Michael Sywassink (Megan), Melissa Lincoln (Keith), Cody Sywassink and Jordan Sywassink; his great grandchildren, AJ, Ellie, Oliver, Jordan, Kylie, Samantha, Leah, Lily, Charlotte, Harper, Macy and Anika; and his sisters, Marion Hetzler (Wilber) of Muscatine and Pauline Philgreen of Manchester. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
