He is survived by: his wife Joyce Kay Courtney; his children, Todd Stych (Sara) of Sunrise Beach and Stephanie Anson (Doug) of Muscatine; his grandchildren, Jennifer Salazar (Joey) of Muscatine, Corey Stych of Muscatine, Emily Green (Jacob) of Portland, Sharise Hartsock (Ryan) of Muscatine and Kassidy Harrison (Tito Nunez) of Muscatine; his great grandchildren, Trey, Noah, Sophia, Alexandria Salazar, Liam, Saige Hartsock, Paisley Harrison and Ezekiel Nunez; his siblings, Paul Stych, Keith Stych, Rosemary Hollatz (Jim) of Honolulu, Nancy Young (Tom) of Florida and Ken Stych (Kim) of Florida; and his friend Chris Soltwedel.
Memorials may be made to the Rett Syndrome Foundation, in Maynard's late granddaughter's name, Allison Stych, as she was the light of his life.
