He was predeceased by: his parents, Marland Waring and Esther Waring (McLaughlin); and his son Eric. He is survived by: his wife Elizabeth Petrovics; and his daughter Sandra Hoag (Doug) of Muscatine.
Max's family donated his pacemaker through the Beat Goes On Program with Iowa State University of Veterinary Medicine.
