He was predeceased by: his parents, Anthony Costello and Edith Siperly Costello; his stepfather Victor Bill; and his brothers, Bill Kahl, Jim Kahl and Tony Costello.
He is survived by: his sons, Matt Costello (Alli) and Mike Costello (Noel); and his grandchildren, Aiden and Madelyn Costello.
