With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Maria Cervantes of Muscatine, Iowa, born in Brownsville, Texas, who passed away on January 24, 2022 at the age of 73. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Maria Cervantes to pay them a last tribute.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Leon Galarza and Isabel Galarza (Montelongo); and her brother Guillermo Galarza. She is survived by: her children, Carmen Figueroa (Freddy) of Bel Air, MD and Jesse Cervantes (Carolynn) of Bowling Green, OH; and her siblings, Juan Galarza, Irene Alvarez, Robert Galarza and Armando Galarza. She is also survived by six grandchildren; three great-grandchildren.

A memorial fund has been established at the funeral home in Maria's name.
