He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward Krueger and Jesse Cunningham; his wife Violet J. Gatton; and his son-in-law Michael. He is survived by: his children, Brenda Day of Muscatine, Marcia Rockey (James) of Columbus Junction, Lyle E. Krueger Jr. (Robin) of Muscatine and Michael L. Krueger of Muscatine. He is also survived by nine grandchildren; 18 great grandchildren; and 9 great-great grandchildren.
