He was predeceased by: his parents, Earnest Paul and Juanita Fay Smith (Cunningham); his daughter Jodi; and his sister Tammy. He is survived by: his siblings, Constance Estabrook of Muscatine and Paul Smith (Robin) of Watertown, Tennessee; and his girlfriend Thelma Peterson of Muscatine. He is also survived by many grandchildren, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.

A memorial fund has been established at the funeral home in Kerry's name.
