He was predeceased by: his parents, Juan Garcia and Catherina Villastrigo; his sons, Mario A. Garcia and Ricardo Garcia; and his great grandchild Antonio Valenzuela.
He is survived by: his wife Ernestina Mireles; and his grandchildren, Ruben Valenzuela Jr., Belinda Castro, Mimi Wagner, Oscar Garcia and Omar Garcia. He is also survived by 11 great grandchildren; and three great great grandchildren.
