He was predeceased by: his parents, Jeronimo G. Peña and Eudelia Gongora Peña; his wife Santa Hernandez; his sister Imelda P. Luna; and his aunt Lucinda Peña.
He is survived by: his children, José Peña (Denise) of Tennessee, Coral Tijerina of California, Cristina Peña of California, Veronica Rubio of California and Viola Hernandez of California; his grandchildren, Emma, Richard, Alexandra, Raul, Iris Marie, John Alex, Samantha Marie, David, Andrew, Elijah, Veronica, Martin, Matthew, Vanessa and Jares; his great grandchildren, Jaycob, Natalie, Penelope, Julius, Scarlett, Serenity, Lourdes, Jaxson, Madylin Malissa, Luke Alexander and Hannah Valentina; and his siblings, E. Mario Peña (Diane) of Corona, L. Viola Peña of Muscatine, Lupita De La Paz of Muscatine and Haydee Peña Rozell (Rick) of Iowa City. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
