He was predeceased by: his parents, Dale Stanley and Beverly A. McGrew Honts Sr.; his siblings, Dale Stanley Honts Jr., Shirley Harris and Michael Honts; and his in-laws, Fred and Shirley Swank.
He is survived by: his wife Robin L. Swank; his children, Mackenzie Tetmeyer (Dale) of Muscatine and Tanner Honts (Andrea) of Muscatine; his grandchildren, Maddox and Brooklyn; his brother Ken Honts (Sandi); his nieces, Michelle Nesbit, Joy Arendasky and Kendra Murphy (Trent); his nephew Rick Honts (Giulia); his son Joe Honts (Alana) of Muscatine; his nephew Dale Stanley Honts III; his great-nieces and great-nephews, Misty Hansen, Amanda Harris and Tomy Harris; his godchildren, Morgan and Addison Stecher; and also, Jaxson of Muscatine, Kelly Muehler (Tim) and Lee Michael. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Memorials may be made to Robin, in Jon's honor, for his grandchildren and future grandchildren's education, who meant the world to him.
