He was predeceased by: his parents, Stephen G. Evans and Erna A. Evans (Pagel); his daughter-in-law Tammy Evans; his siblings, Vaughn Evans (Irene), Ronald Evans, Phyllis Henke (Louie) and Betty Lord (Elwood); and his stepbrothers, Ralph Evans and Walter Evans.

He is survived by: his wife Melody Evans of Muscatine; his children, Matthew Evans of Delhi, Amy Zybarth (Avery) of Muscatine, Troy Evans (Colleen) of Davenport and Tricia Brockert (Randy) of Hills; his grandson Noah Evans (Samantha) of Farley; his children, Alicia Brockert of Los Angeles, California, Kaitlyn Dodson (Trevor) of Davenport, Madeline Evans of Delhi, Delaney of Davenport, Hayden of Davenport, Brady of Davenport and Griffyn Evans of Davenport; and his great grandchildren, Nellie Grace Evans and John Baylor "Jack" Evans.
