He was predeceased by: his parents, Emmet J. and Dorothea M. Reichert O'Toole Sr.; his wife Jane Ann Olson; and his siblings, Emmet 'Sonny J. O'Toole Jr., Mike O'Toole, Dorothy M. McKinney and Patricia Butler.
He is survived by: his children, Jonathan 'Jon O'Toole of Letts and Sarah Duggan (Tim) of Cedar Rapids; his granddaughter Abigail 'Abby Murdock; his stepgrandson Devon Duggan (Phoebe); and his sister Delphine Smith of Villisca. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in his honor to the family or for a mass in his honor at the Ss.
