He was predeceased by: his parents, James Caswell Crowder Sr. and Nell Crowder (Collins). He is survived by: his wife Jacquline Kay Walker; his children, Jamie Trunnel (Darryl) and Joe Crowder (Melissa); his grandchildren, Caswell Crowder, Cal Crowder, Benjamin Trunnel (Katie) and Sarah Trunnel; his sister Joyce Wetmore; and his siblings-in-law, Shirley Hagermann, Betty Walker and Richard Walker.
