He is survived by: his wife Darlene Vance of Muscatine; his children, Michael C. Vance (Candiss) of Yarmouth Port, Cathy R. Schmitt (David) of Eden Prairie, Robert A. Vance (Sheryl) of Muscatine, Lynn D. Vance of Davenport and Julie A. Hardman (Joe) of Muscatine; his grandchildren, Nicholas Vance (Irene), Tara Wommack (Andrew), Tyler Vance (Tiffany), Sarah Schmitt, Lauren Schmitt, Jonathan Vance (Kara), Laura Holsman (Aaron), Hanna Weinstein (Ben), Tye Hardman (Rebecca) and Emma Hardman; and his great grandchildren, Elias, Thalia, Daphne, Naomi, Norah, Isabelle, Violet and Vivian.
