He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Fowler and Opal Fender Fowler; his siblings, Bob, Dwayne, Mary Lou Whittington and Wanda Evans; and his stepson Gary Leopard, Sr..

He is survived by: his wife Judith K. Gilchrist Leopard; his daughters, Kim Bevan (Bill) of Bellevue, IA and Jody Leamen (Chris) of Geneseo, IL; his stepchildren, Pam Knight of Muscatine and Larry Leopard (Mandy) of Muscatine; his grandchildren, Lacey Ruden (Phil), Justin Bevan (Stacy), Meagan Swanson-Henderson, Ben Swanson, Ethan Swanson, Miranda Krueger, Allen Leopard, Kristen Haller, Sam Leopard, Ashley Knight, Ryan Knight and Jackson Wagner; and his brother Dick Fowler (Paula) of Springdale, AR..
