She was predeceased by: her parents, Lisle Wilson and Vera Wilson (Eggenburg); her husband James Brotherton; and her siblings, John "Cy" Wilson, Vernon "Mickey" Wilson and Margaret "Muff" Thompson.

She is survived by: her children, Roxanne Schlapkohl (Gary) of Red Wing, Minnesota, James "Butch" Brotherton, Jr. (Karen) of Earlville, John Brotherton (Donnetta) of Grandview and Joe Brotherton (Sarah Bennett) of Wapello, Iowa; her grandchildren, Ian, Steven, Kristin, Samantha, Calvin, Mikayla and Allison; her great grandchildren, Parker, Ash, Bryden, Ryver, Sam, Kaitlyn and Chase; her siblings, William "Koose" Wilson of Muscatine, Beatrice "Bea" McCleary (Pete) of Muscatine and Mary Jane Carter (Don) of Muscatine, Iowa; and her sisters-in-law, Jenny Wilson and Marlene Wilson.

Visitation was held on Sunday, November 3rd 2024 from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Snyder & Hollenbaugh Funeral & Cremation Services (2907 Mulberry Ave, Muscatine, IA 52761). A funeral service was held on Monday, November 4th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the Grandview Community Bible Church (206 W Monroe St, Grandview, IA 52752).
