He was predeceased by: his parents, Carl Jacob and Betty M. Begey Lucas; his brother Tom Lucas; his stepson Glen Morgan; his stepson-in-law Steve Lee; and his stepgrandson Mike Diveney.
He is survived by: his former wife May Cozad; his children, Angela 'Angie Kemp (Jay) of Letts and Scott Lucas (Shawn) of Letts; his stepdaughter Willa Lee of Colorado; his stepdaughter-in-law Derri Morgan of Colorado; his grandchildren, Nickie Gatsiopoulos (Sotirios), Alishia Zavednak-Lee, Alex Kemp (Mallorie Thompson), Lucas Kemp and Blake Kemp (Grace); his great grandchildren, Willow Kemp, Wyatt Kemp, Lincoln Kemp, Tatum Kemp, Dakota Allred and Stephanie Sandoval; and his sister-in-law Susan Lucas of Nebraska.
