David left this world on January 30, 2025 at the age of 72, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. He was predeceased by: his mother Rebecca A. Swayze; his stepfather David Swayze; his brother Raymond "Smokey Junior" Kerr; and his stepbrother Lloyd Swayze. He is survived by: his wife Debra Hillman of Muscatine; his children, Dawn Carver (David) of Imperial and Shawn Kerr (Amy) of Andalusia, Illinois; his grandchildren, Colyn, Riley, Stella and Nolan; his sister-in-law Jean Kerr of Muscatine; and his stepsiblings, Shirley Sorensen (Lyndel) and Darrell Swayze. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
A memorial service was held on Friday, February 7th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Church of the Living Water (3120 Park Ave W, Muscatine, IA 52761).
