She was predeceased by: her mother Mary Magdalena Hernandez Portillo; and her great-grandparent Ernestina Garcia Hernandez. She is survived by: her father Wenceslao Portillo of Mexico; her sister Mea Lei Hernandez of Kansas; her grandparents, David and Mary Hernandez of North Liberty, Iowa; her aunts and uncles, Jesse Hernandez (Elaine) of North Liberty, Daniel Hernandez (Christina) of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, Tina Hernandez-Zudell (Ryan) of North Liberty, Linda Chavez of Muscatine and Katarina Hernandez Mendoza (Mauricio) of North Liberty, Iowa; and her close friends, Jessica, Eric, Rachel, Heather and Brittany.
A funeral service was held on Saturday, January 25th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Ralph J. Wittich-Riley-Freers Funeral Home (1931 Houser St, Muscatine, IA 52761).
Memorials may be made to the Iowa City Humane Society or Pathways.
