It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Betty Smith of Muscatine, Iowa, who passed away on November 14, 2021, at the age of 94, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Irving W. Hines and Blanche Ada Hines (Newton); her husband Harold LeRoy Smith; and her siblings, Irving W. Hines and Lenora L. Cochran.
She is survived by: her children, Edward LeRoy Smith of Muscatine, Charles E. Smith (Teresa) of Muscatine, Dr. Kathleen Smith of Loves Park and William W. Smith of Muscatine; her grandchildren, Whitney Sue Heath (Nahum) and Timothy Lucas Smith (Yolanda); her great grandchildren, Mercedes Smith, Kaden Smith, Karson Smith, Jaslene Moreno, Yecenia Echols and Sadie Echols; and her brother Carl E. Hines of Muscatine. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial contribution can be made to the charity of their choice.
