She was predeceased by: her parents, Elmer Turner and Grace Turner; her husband Leonard L. Sloat; her siblings, Lloyd Turner, Ethel Wilsdon, Linda Ehrat and Nellie Mashburn; and her son-in-law John Gredell.
She is survived by: her children, Leonard C. Sloat (Tudi) of Coppell, TX, Lloyd D. Sloat (Connie) of Orlando, FL, Carol J. Davis (Edward) of Muscatine, David L. Sloat of Muscatine, Janet L DeSpirito (Joe) of Bloomington, IN and Luana J. Gredell of Muscatine. She is also survived by 12 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
A memorial has been established for St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
