He was predeceased by: his parents, Irvin John and Opal Lucille Brockert (Finley); his wife Patty; his son Craig Wetzel; his grandchildren, Robert, Angel, Matt and Cassie; and his siblings, Kenneth, Harold Brockert, Doris Brockert and Ruby Adams.
He is survived by: his children, Lindsey Brockert of Muscatine, Robert Howard (Peggy) of Muscatine, Ray Wetzel of Muscatine, Cynthia Corrales of Muscatine, Julie Wetzel of Muscatine, Angie Shipp (Bill) of Cedar Rapids and Todd Knight of Davenport; and his siblings, Keith, Harry and Delores of Muscatine.
Memorials may be directed to the Muscatine American Legion Post #27 in memory of Benny.
