With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Barbara Sabbath (Muscatine, Iowa), whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. Barbara left this world on February 21, 2025 at the age of 90, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. She was predeceased by: her parents, Ione Hoopes Boynton and Eugene W. Boynton; her husband Charles J. Sabbath; her sister Elizabeth'Betsy'Noble; and her siblings-in-law, John Sabbath and Elizabeth Miller.
She is survived by: her daughters, Sara Marie Sabbath Reusswig (David) of Iowa and Beth Ann Sabbath (Tim Quinn) of Virginia; her grandchildren, Matthew Sabbath Reusswig (Amber D. Welch) of Virginia, Phil Reusswig (Alice Ho) of California, Emily Reusswig (Patrick C. Whalen) of Illinois, Joseph Quinn of Virginia, Ione Marie Quinn of Virginia and Charles W. Quinn of Virginia; her great grandchildren, Henry Reusswig-Welch and Lily Reusswig; and her sister Eugenia Nickerson of Iowa. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Friday, March 7th 2025 from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM at the Zion Lutheran Church (513 Sycamore St, Muscatine, IA 52761). A funeral service will be held on Friday, March 7th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Zion Lutheran Church of Muscatine, Muscatine Community Foundation, Lutheran Living, or favorite charity in Barbara's name.
