He was predeceased by: his parents, Dalbert Akers and Naomi Akers (LeRette); and his sister Nancy Gordon. He is survived by: his children, Brian Akers (Cathy), Terry Scroggie (Amy), Kimberly (Chris) and Angela Frohwein (Mark); his brothers, Tim Akers (Karla), John Akers (Linda) and Mitchell Akers; his close friend Connie Mack; and his friend Jeff Werner. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren.
