She was predeceased by: her parents, Frank Sparks and Bessie Sparks (Williams); her husband Lyle McElrath; her son Craig McElrath; her grandson Jeremy Willer; and her siblings, Marion, Ivan "Bill", Dale, Jay, Gerald, Burton Sparks and Helen Gardner.
She is survived by: her children, Sue Luikens (Dale) of Mitchell, SD, Lori Willer (Bill) of Moville, IA, Julie Davidson (Mike) of Ankeny, IA and Steve McElrath (Susie) of Moville, IA; her daughter-in-law Vicki McElrath of Moville, IA; and her sister Mildred Bowers. She is also survived by 12 grandchildren and 26 great-grandchildren.
