He was predeceased by: his father Dwight; his father-in-law Richard Smith; and his sister-in-law Cathie Smith. He is survived by: his wife Kathy; his mother Mary Lou Tabke (Sargent); his grandchildren, Jennifer and TJ Vit; his siblings, Garrett (Rita Tabke), Shawn (Mary Lou Tabke), Brett (Erika Tabke) and Suzanne (Dennis Desy); his mother-in-law Glenda Truesdell of Remsen, IA; and his siblings-in-law, Sara, Scott Happe of Burleson, TX, Rick Smith of Fort Worth, TX and Jeff Smith of Mansfield, TX. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and friends.
