It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Darlene F. Sands (Moville, Iowa), born in Cherokee, Iowa, who passed away on July 7, 2019, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, LeRoy Goettsch and Erma Goettsch (Cipperley); her husband John W. Sands; her son Jeffrey Sands; her son-in-law Tom O'Connor; her great grandchild Eden O'Connor; and her siblings, LeRoy, Jr., Helen and Shirley.
She is survived by: her children, Carol O'Connor of Denison, IA, Wayne Sands (Joyce) of Moville, IA and David Sands (Debra) of Hudson, WI; and her daughter-in-law Contaniza Sands of Ohio. She is also survived by 14 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; and 5 great-great grandchildren.
