She was predeceased by: her parents, Fritz "Fred" Thies and Theresa Thies (Harms); her husband Roger Bernhardt; her son David Bernhardt; and her siblings, Elwood, Duane, Marge Streeter, Carol Ashmore, Janice Wink, James and Dean.
She is survived by: her children, Annette Alfredson (Bryan) of Dakota Dunes, SD and Doug Bernhardt (Cindy) of Monrovia, CA; her daughter-in-law Elsie Bernhardt of Stewartville, MN; her grandchildren, Patrick Bernhardt (Kristen), Jon Bernhardt (Kathy), Sarah Bernhardt, Trevor Alfredson (Mary), Dan Bernhardt (Rachel) and Brittany Calvillo (Chris); and her sisters-in-law, Gene Wink, Peggy Hopp and Norma Thies. She is also survived by 16 great-grandchildren and brothers.
