It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Roger Rife of Mount Vernon, Iowa, born in Nichols, Iowa, who passed away on June 18, 2021, at the age of 72, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Wayne "Babe" and Dr. Gladys Talcott Rife; and his sister Jeanne. He is survived by: his children, Aaron Thomson, Carrie Witt (Patrick), Jon Rife (Shawn), Emilie Minnick (Richard Wecker) and Adam Rife; his grandchildren, Eliana, Bethany, Devon Homer, Mason, Jersey and Letty; his siblings, John Rife (Thelma), Joyce Rife and Jim Rife (Nancy A.); his wife Nancy Buenger; and also Lisa Thomson. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews; and many extended family members, friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the Arts Iowa Annual Fund to support Orchestra Iowa.
