He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Madson and Genevieve Madson (Walrath); his siblings, Art and Joan (Herman Haag); his siblings-in-law, Darlene Madson and Gordon Kilen; and his son-in-law Paul Frederiksen.
He is survived by: his wife Jeanette; his children, Lois Heeringa, David Madson, Melanie Bear (Craig) and Jennifer Dey (Greg); his grandchildren, Kaethe, Chris, Sheri, Karen, Nicole, Robbie, Amy, Rachel, Kelsi and Garrett; his great great grandchildren, Dante and Xion; his siblings, Joyce Kilen, Denny and Jeri; and his siblings-in-law, Jim Beshey, Marianne Madson, Warren Fox, Carolyn Fox, Rodney Mercer and Elaine Mercer.
