It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Richard L. Koehn of Mount Vernon, Iowa, who passed away on August 8, 2021, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, William Koehn and Rose Koehn; his wife Ruth Miller; his son-in-law Ivan Kuntz; his siblings, Ray, Alvin, Leo, William Jr., Milford, Rose, Eileen and Evelyn; and his brothers-in-law, Lawrence Miller Jr. and Kenneth Miller.
He is survived by: his children, Joy Kuntz (late Ivan) of Martelle, Jay Koehn (Theresa) of Solon, Jeri Koehn (Jeff Moore) of North Liberty, Jim Koehn (Karren Loomis) of Mt. Vernon, Joby Koehn (Shawn) of Florahome and Janee Koehn of Mt. Vernon; his grandchildren, Kacey Schmit (Andrew), Kyle Kuntz (Taryn), Kaiden Kuntz (Allison), Mattison Randel (Elias), Marissa, Marshall Koehn (Abby), Jack, Austin Koehn, Jacob Koehn (Heather), Brylee Suthers (Brock) and Boe Brendes (Shay Gonzalez); his great grandchildren, Liam, Maxim, Tatem Schmit, Oscar, Theodore, Winnie Kuntz, Nelly, Preston Randel, Greyson Kuntz, Vynzent Gibson and Sadie Suthers; and his brother Edward (Anna Mae). He is also survived by his nieces and nephews.
