He was predeceased by: his wife Margaret Rickels (Sue); and his parents, Sena Siebels-Rickels and William M. Rickels. He is survived by: his daughters, Dawn Thimm and Debra Rickels-Sabin; his son-in-law Joe Thimm; and his grandchildren, Treva Thimm, Sean Sabin, Ashley Thimm and Cole Sabin.
Visitation was held on Friday, April 11th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Mt. Vernon Methodist Church (304 1st St E, Mt Vernon, IA 52314). A funeral service was held on Friday, April 11th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
