It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Karon Thompson of Mount Vernon, Iowa, born in Keokuk, Iowa, who passed away on December 17, 2022, at the age of 82, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Thomas Murray and Madge Thompson Murray; her husband John Thompson; and her siblings, Mary, Marvelle, JoAnne, Paul, Marvin and Thomas Jr..
She is survived by: her sons, Loren Williams of Mount Vernon, Dan Williams of Mount Vernon and Marty Williams (Kim) of Mount Vernon; her stepchildren, Val Jones (Mike), John Jr. Thompson (Kathy) and Brendan Thompson; her sister Judy Eden; and her sister-in-law Donna Murray. She is also survived by numerous other nieces; nephews; cousins; and friends.
