He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Cullen and Helen Cullen (Brennan); his wife Ann Galloway; and his siblings, Suzanne, Jack and Bill.
He is survived by: his children, Mark Cullen of Iowa City, Laura Ward (Robert) of Mundelein, Pat Cullen (Marie Konkowski) of Oak Grove and Maureen Cullen of New Delhi, India; and his grandchildren, Nicole Cullen, Aaron Cullen, Meghan Cullen, Michelle, Spencer Ward (Shannon), Andrew Cullen and Sarah Cullen.
