It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Billy Gene Lange of Mount Vernon, Iowa, born in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, who passed away on April 6, 2024, at the age of 74, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Harry Victor and Wiona Walaska Lange (Ohrt); his wife Connie Lange; his sister Bonnie Mealman; and his siblings-in-law, Bonnie Schoff (Kenny), John Chunka and Fred Potter.
He is survived by: his sons, Pat Lange of Mt. Vernon, Jason (Sara) of Marion and Kasey (Sara) of Mt. Vernon; his grandchildren, Jacob, Stefani, Wylie, Mallie and Teagan; his siblings, Beverly Chunka of Omaha, NE and Brenda Potter of Canton, IA; and his siblings-in-law, Ronnie Forest (Janice) of Mt. Vernon, Al Forest (Deb) of Cedar Rapids, Linda Hunter (Fred) of Hopkinton, IA and Kaylene Forest of Cedar Rapids. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial is being established.
