With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Alan Shepley of Mount Vernon, Iowa, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. Alan left this world on December 25, 2024 at the age of 76, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Laurel "Jack" Shepley and Dorothy Shepley (Stevens); his brothers, Jack and Rohn Shepley; his grandson James Baitinger; and his in-laws, Raymond and Nellie Guinn.
He is survived by: his wife Barb of Milton; his children, Scot Shepley of Madison, Eric Shepley (Stacy) of Strawberry Point and Sara Baitinger (Joe) of Urbandale, Iowa; his grandchildren, Siôn, Robin, Corin, Rylynn, Halie Shepley, Jack and Charlie Baitinger; and his sister Rene Ragan (Rick). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the University of Iowa College of Pharmacy Scholarship fund, the Community Health Free Clinic in Cedar Rapids, or the Mount Vernon United Methodist Church.
