He was predeceased by: his parents, Lawrence "Mouse" Rooney and Janet Ann Rooney (Watkins). He is survived by: his children, Jena Hoenes (Jose), Kara Rooney and Jon Rooney (Gabby); his stepchildren, Dustin Turpin (Ashley) and Sharraden Turpin (Daniel Price); his grandchildren, Emili, Stephanie, Joseph, Sophia, Olivia, Kingston, Leah and Kelly; his stepgrandchildren, Levi, Greyson, Brennon, Scarlett and Rosalie; his siblings, Pat Rooney (Patty), Gini McAdams (Doug) and Jill Rooney (Lyle Thompson); and his pet Chubbs. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Friday, February 21st 2025 from 12:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Schmitz Funeral Home (211 Madison Ave, Donnellson, IA 52625).
A memorial has been established in his memory.
