He was predeceased by: his father Bert; his daughter Marsha G. Dean; and his brother Ralph Alan Dean. He is survived by: his wife Jerri Zike; his children, Monica Wesely (Brad) of Mt. Pleasant and Eric Dean of Mt. Pleasant; his grandsons, Nicolas Wesely of Ft. Collins and Nathan Wesely (Deryn) of Cordova; and his siblings, Lloyd Dean of Morehead and Rebecca Fern Brown of Niles. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial in his memory may be directed to the Marsha G. Dean Nursing Scholarship at Southeastern Community College, established by Dean and Jerri in honor of their daughter or St. Michael's Episcopal Church.
