He was predeceased by: his parents, Leslie Dale and Carlotha Pearl Ross (Messer); his siblings, Keith Ross and Helen Schaefer (Pete); his nephew Doug Schaeffer; his siblings, Lois Roth (Glen) and Delmar Ross; and his parents-in-law, John and Frances King (Bird).
He is survived by: his grandchildren, Kelcey Williams (Mandy Axmann) and Spencer Shull (Cadie Brown-Shull); his great grandchildren, Kinsley Williams, Bellamy Brown-Shull and Athena Brown-Shull; his wife Karol Ross (King); his daughter Anita Shull (Ross); and his sister Florence Ross Smith (Rick). He is also survived by nieces, nephews, and many friends.
A memorial has been established for Compassus Hospice in Washington, Iowa.
