She was predeceased by: her parents, Kola Sylavong and Suda Sylavong; and her husband Bounxom Malavixai. She is survived by: her children, Samphoune Pontong of Thailand, Somsack Sylavong of Milwaukee, WI, Somphet Vongphouthone of Peoria, IL, Somphone Sylavong of Mount Pleasant and Phouthone Sylavong of Des Moines. She is also survived by many grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren.
A funeral service was held on Saturday, November 2nd 2024 at 2:00 PM at the Olson-Powell Memorial Chapel (709 E Maple Leaf Dr, Mt Pleasant, IA 52641).
