He was predeceased by: his parents, Nira Gill and Linnie Dell Gill (Lee); and his daughter Patricia Hauser. He is survived by: his children, Thomas Gill of Mt Union, William Gill of Kansas City, Philip Gill of Kansas City, Rose Fischer of New London and Michelle James of Thornburg; and his girlfriend Peggy Elder of Winfield. He is also survived by thirteen grandchildren and thirteen great grandchildren.
