He was predeceased by: his parents, Max McGuire and Bessie McGuire (Allred); his son Scott; and his siblings, Meriel Benge, Emery, Roger, Richard and Myron McGuire.
He is survived by: his wife Violet Hill of Mt. Pleasant; and his children, Andy McGuire of Olds, Tami Lyon (Mark) of Mt. Pleasant, Shirley Mills (Jon) of Salem, Kim McGuire (Tom Walker) of Dallas City, IL and Jill Rhum (Devan) of Mt. Pleasant. He is also survived by nine grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandson.
A memorial fund has been established for the Cottonwood Cemetery.
