Enid E. Mortland Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Enid E. Mortland of Mount Pleasant, Iowa, who passed away on January 14, 2023, at the age of 97, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Howard Boughton and Christena Marion Boughton; her son William Lee (Billy); her husband Bill; her brother Merle; her grandchildren, Elizabeth, Brandt and Brian Reiss; her son-in-law George Reiss; and her close friend Ole Olson.
She is survived by: her children, Jerry Kerr, Angie Ross, Brenda, Duane Brown, Carma Reiss of Van Horne and Shirley Flam (Ben) of New London; her grandchildren, Robin Daniel (Jill), Sarah Finn (Corey) and Heather Mell (Shane); her great grandchildren, Allison, Quinn, Braden and Parker; her great great grandchildren, Natalie, Declan, Landry and Peyton; her sister Lois Hurst (Leroy); her nieces, Chris, Cindy and Becky; and her close friend Loretta Caves.
A memorial has been established for the Culinary Arts Department at Mt. Pleasant School. Donations may be made (for tax deduction) to The Mt. Pleasant Community School Foundation – Culinary Arts.
