It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Bill Leyda (Mount Pleasant, Iowa), born in Bloomfield, Iowa, who passed away on January 18, 2019, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Neil Frederic and Freda Opal Leyda (Bannister); and his brothers, Ben Leyda and Bob Leyda. He is survived by: his spouse Wanda "June" Daniels; his son Michael Leyda (Tina Sammons) of Mt. Pleasant, IA; and his grandchildren, Roscoe Leyda of Mt. Pleasant, IA, Ginny Leyda of Covington, VA, Kimberly Roye of Freeport, FL and Samantha Sammons of Burlington, IA. He is also survived by seven great-grandchildren; along with nieces and nephews.
