She was predeceased by: her parents, Leland Walters and Helen Sherman Walters Meier; her husband Kenneth; and her children, Jerry and Shirley.
She is survived by: her children, Larry McAlexander (Cathy) of Prairie du Sac, WI and Debbie Van Horn (Dan) of Bloomfield, IA; her daughter-in-law Rose McAlexander (Jerry) of Beaconsfield, IA; her grandchildren, Jeff, Tim (Sarah), Pat (Melissa), Andy McAlexander (Beckey) of Beaconsfield, IA, Jon McAlexander (Sara) of Urbandale, IA, Jason McAlexander (Tami) of Durham, NC, Jennifer Stephan (Christopher) of Prairie du Sac, WI, Chris Jackson (Jennifer) and Dustin Van Horn (Suzanne) of Bloomfield, IA.; her sisters, Jane Pallas of Lancaster, SC and Peggy Christianson (Roger) of Papillion, NE; and her sister-in-law Joy Ann McAlexander of Kansas City, MO. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Visitation was held on Friday, January 24th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Saturday, January 25th 2025 from 12:30 PM to 1:30 PM. A funeral service was held on Saturday, January 25th 2025 at 1:30 PM at the Trinity Christian Church (16773 IA-2, Decatur City, IA 50067).
Memorials are to the Beaconsfield United Methodist Church.
