It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Mary Lou Hymbaugh Pennebaker (Mount Ayr, Iowa), born in Osage City, Kansas, who passed away on October 18, 2019, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Mabel Bryson and James Bryson; her husband George Roland "Doc" Pennebaker; her son-in-law Kent R. Lowman; and her stepson Dr. Gary Pennebaker.

She is survived by: her children, James Hymbaugh (Deb) of Creston, IA, Douglas Hymbaugh (Sherri) of Brownton, MN, Terry Burton (Ron) of Douglas, Nancy Fox of Cedar Rapids, IA, Julie (Bob), Lowman of Boone, IA, Penny Hymbaugh of Mount Ayr, IA, Lynda Triggs (Mark) of Mount Ayr, IA and Ray Hymbaugh (Christina) of Cameron, NC; her stepdaughters, Glennda Adair of Laguna Woods, CA and Gayla Buckman (Darren) of Plano, TX; her stepdaughter-in-law Laurel Pennebaker of Chandler, AZ; and her former husband Wesley Hymbaugh. She is also survived by 25 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren, and 1 great great grandchild.

Memorials may be made to the First United Methodist Church in Creston.
