He was predeceased by: his parents, Wallace Murphy and Mary Veronica Murphy; his in-laws, Arlo and Anna Mae Krumwiede; his brothers, Edwin Murphy, Patrick Murphy and Stephen Murphy; and his sisters-in-law, Charlotte Murphy and Mary Murphy.
He is survived by: his grandchildren, Wyatt Jackson (Payton), Rhett Murphy, Zach Murphy, Hannah Jackson, Ayla Murphy and Kaley Murphy; his wife Linda Murphy of Mount Ayr, IA; his children, Melanie Jackson (Kevin), Jared Murphy (Leslie) and Justin Murphy (Jessica); his in-laws, Lance and Leann Krumwiede of Estherville, IA; his siblings, Michael Murphy of Fairmont, MN and Kathleen McGowan of Fairmont, MN; and his sisters-in-law, Prudence Murphy of Fairmont, MN and Bonnie Murphy of Mankato, MN. He is also survived by grandchildren, many nieces and nephews and friends.
