He was predeceased by: his parents, Reuel Emmerson and Bessie Fay May (Marsh); his son David; his siblings-in-law, John and Elma Clark; his brother Carl; his sister-in-law Pearl May; his sister Bonnie Summa; his brothers-in-law, Gerald Summa and Eldon Dillenburg; and his grandsons, Brandon Campbell and Austin Boyd.

He is survived by: his wife Carol; his daughters, Linda Huntsman (Denny) of Mt. Ayr, Kathy Campbell (Phil) of Douds and Shelly Norton (Loren) of Kingston; his sister Retha Dillenburg; and his grandchildren, Toni Taylor (Tony) of Columbia, MO., Brian Campbell (Amanda) of Douds, Scott Huntsman of Mt. Ayr, Brenda Hammes (Jeff) of Richland, Heather Wesch (Chad) of Lincoln, NE, Ann Snodgrass (Johnathan) of Ottumwa, Keena, Joy and John Norton of Kingston. He is also survived by 20 great grandchildren and 11 great-great grandchildren; many nieces, nephews and friends.

A memorial fund has been established in his name to be decided.
