It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Jean Howie (Mount Ayr, Iowa), who passed away on February 16, 2020, at the age of 93, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Bert and Bessie (House) Wilson; her husband Virgil; her sons, Lanny Dean and Terry Lynn; her siblings, Geiger, Sanford, Billy, Marvis "Bud", Curtis, Mildred Rinehart, Lora Shipley, Beulah Deeken and Margaret Burnett; and her siblings-in-law, Aleine Taylor (Sam), Leroy Howie (Joanne) and Lowell Howie (Alice).
She is survived by: her daughter Kelly Schlager (Myron) of Huntington Beach, CA; her daughter-in-law Fay Howie of Mount Ayr; her grandchildren, Shannon Hernandez (Bob) of Jordan, MN, Adam Howie (Abby) of Boone, Megan Meyer of Newton, Alicia Still (Mike) of Corydon, Nathan Howie (Jodi) of Bondurant, Nolan Howie (Terra) of Kansas City, MO and Devin McLeod (Lily) of Johnstown, CO; her stepgranddaughters, Nichole Eckas (Aaron) and Danielle Lindesay (Kevin); her great grandchildren, Braylen, McKale Hernandez, Molly, Macy Meyer, Avery, Reece, Corbin Howie, Teya, Carter Still, Elliotte, Ava, Bennett Howie, Hadyn, Hudson Howie, Alexandra and Joana McLeod; her stepgreat-grandchildren, Carter Baily and Avery Eckas; and her sisters-in-law, Delores Moody (Jim) of Port Angeles, WA, Margaret Wilson and Donna Wilson.
