Jean Gilliland Obituary

With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Jean Gilliland (Mount Ayr, Iowa), who passed away on June 30, 2022 at the age of 85. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Lewis Brand and Madge Brand (Crittenden); her husband Lyle Gilliland; her siblings, Harold, Clyde, Earl, Dean Brand, Lois Triggs and Margaret Brand; and her grandson Jeremy Newton.

She is survived by: her children, Michael Lyle (Debbie) of Mount Ayr, IA, Steven Duane (Deborah) of Huxley, IA, Barbara Reynolds (Dennis) of Nevada, IA and Carol Anne Galloway (Bob) of Kellerton, IA; her grandchildren, James (Heather), Jason (Amy), Joshua Reynolds (Kim), Matthew (Kristy), Mitchell (Charity), Brett Gilliland, Jennifer Gustafson (David), Sarah Newton, Laura Kisarets (Vova), Maggie Cox (Daniel), Kimberly Brumm (Eric) and Karin Bloomquist (Mitch); and her siblings, Paul Brand (Georgia), Lee Brand, Wilma Schafer and Betty Cobb. She is also survived by 32 great grandchildren, many nieces, nephews, and friends.
